Risk - Sensitive Dual Control
نویسنده
چکیده
In this paper, we develop new results concerning the risk-sensitive dual control problem for output feedback nonlinear systems, with unknown time-varying parameters. These results are not merely immediate specializations of known risk-sensitive control theory for nonlinear systems, but rather, are new formulations which are of interest in their own right. A dynamic programming equation solution is given to an optimal risk-sensitive dual control problem penalizing outputs, rather than the states, for a reasonably general class of nonlinear signal models. This equation, in contrast to earlier formulations in the literature, clearly shows the dual aspects of the risk-sensitive controller regarding control and estimation. The computational task to solve this equation, as has been seen for the risk-neutral dual control problem, suffers from the so-called ‘curse of dimensionality’. This motivates our study of the risk-sensitive version for a suboptimal risksensitive dual controller. Explicit controllers are derived for a minimum phase single-input, single-output auto-regressive model with exogenous input and unknown time-varying parameters. Also, simulation studies are carried out for an integrator with a time-varying gain. They show that the risk-sensitive suboptimal dual controller is more robust to uncertain noise environments compared with its risk-neutral counterpart. ( 1997 by John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.

Magnetic induction tomography (MIT) is a promising modality for noninvasive imaging due to its contactless technology. Being a non-contact safe imaging technique, MIT has been an appropriate method in compare to other electrical tomography. In this imaging method, a primary magnetic field is applied by excitation coils to induce eddy currents in the material to be studied and a secondary magnet...
متن کاملAdsorption of Gas Molecules on Graphene Doped with Mono and Dual Boron as Highly Sensitive Sensors and Catalysts
First-principle calculations have been investigated to study the adsorption of the molecules (SO2, CO, NH3, CO2, NO2, and NO) on the surface of mono boron (B) B-doped and dual B-doped graphene sheets to explore their potential applications as sensors. Our findings indicate that the adsorption of (CO and NH3) on B-doped graphene and (CO and ...

Objective Some individuals with Chronic Ankle Instability (CAI) termed as functional ankle instability (FAI) suffer from repetitive ankle giving way and feeling of ankle joint instability during dynamic activities like walking. Walking, as a postural task, requires some central attention to integrate sensory inputs, estimate, and plan and produce proper motor outputs. Attention demanding cognit...

The purpose of the present study was to investigate the effect of dual task training including balance sit-to-stand and cognitive exercises on postural control of sit to stand of elderly women with a history of falling. 15 elderly women were randomly divided into control (n=7) and experimental (n=8) groups. Participants implemented training protocol for four weeks in both experimental (balance ...
